Title-holders Muang Thong United, paying the price for their fans' misconduct, took on bottom-placed Super Power Samut Prakan at neutral Rajamangala National Stadium and had a goal-scoring practice. A couple of minutes into the second half, Heberty Fernandes planted a sizzling curler from outside the box into the top of the net and the floodgates opened for the Kirins. Assumpcao claimed two more to complete a hat-trick and Adisak Kraisorn hit the mark twice in the second half. Tristan Do wrapped up the rout with the ninth goal for Muang Thong United in the 82nd minute. All of Pattaya's goals were scored in the second half with Suphanan Bureerat, Peeradon Chamratsamee and Aleksandar Jevtic finding the net for the hosts.
